Last shafts of light (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Last shafts of light catch the eyes of this leopardess, waiting for an opportunistic moment at sundown in the Namibian desert. I love the play of the lines of light, the waves of the sand, the spots of her coat and the line of her focus directing us to... who knows what? out of the picture and over the brow of the dune. A figure of elegance and grace but with a hidden killer instinct, I love the fact that this potential behaviour is also reflected in the light and dark of the image itself, two sides to every story.
AUTHOR
I am a zoologist by training so it was natural I became a wildlife and animal photographer. I simply love to observe all animals and their behaviour, together with the interaction of themselves in their environment. I have luckily written several books on wildlife, travel and photography. I am totally self taught in terms of photography, learning by watching and doing. I simply love the aethestics of animals and they give me such enormous pleasure to capture for others.
