Abstract nominee

The submitted photographs developed from my interest in urban space, architecture, geometry and abstraction. It presents a building, now decades years old, located in the central part of the city which I live in. For a long time it has not been used for its originally predicated function, whereas it has aroused recurring critical discussions on spatial aesthetics since that time. However, currently it gathers a significant group of temporary guests visiting this fashionable place for evening meetings. As for me, I like to observe it during early morning hours and have been photographing it for some time trying to discover potential inherent in its sculpture, geometry and surface. While working on this particular series taken in October 2018 I was thinking about attempting to show the intriguing and interesting, though often overlooked, aesthetic value of the surrounding architecture, urban or industrial space.

I live in Krakow (Poland) and I am an amateur photographer. As far as I remember I was interested in taking photographs but for about four years I think about it more seriously. Now I am sure I would like to continue developing my passion. I am hoping to have a chance to share my work with other people. Until now my works have been awarded honourable mentions in some photography contests and participated in local joined exhibitions.
