I was always on the lookout for new languages and means of expression so I began to photograph people in the streets and realized a series of self-portraits whose recurring theme was the hidden face.
However what I photographed didn’t represent me completely; I needed something more. I was looking for the complexity of the vision and transfiguration of the image.
Abstract photography allowed me to capture, alter and transform the images in a different way.
Hydro is an abstract investigation of water. I started taking macro photographs of rivers, pond, lakes and plants in the water and playing with reflections, lights, shadows, clashing colors and overexposure.
I was very fascinated by the result. I worked on the images till they get abstract photo-paintings. The transfiguration process is complete.
