This series of abstract photographs represents my depictions of feminine archetypes -- the photographs are intended to represent symbolic parts of my essential self and that of women's experience of themselves in general.
My idea was to capture abstract visions of female iconography to be found in nature and found objects, and in exploration with new and odd materials.
Seeing beyond the fact of an abstraction to looking for subjects that are unexpected evocations all aspects of femininity -- lyrical and hard-edged, delicate and powerful ... and sensual.
