DESCRIPTION
In the Ruhr between Duisburg and Dortmund the art stands on artificial mountains, the mining dumps.
The Halden art is unique in Europe. Halden are the visible legacy of mining for days. They tell the story of industrialization and mining in the Ruhr area.
Originally they were created by the dumping of tailings, slag, rubble and building rubble. One of these dumps is called Magic Mountain. On it stands the Tiger & Turtle.
