These photographs present a world found in one fixed spatial field - on a windy hill in the Parque Eduardo VII in Lisbon, Portugal. The fluttering in the wind of the giant national flag and the peculiar shapes it takes, attracts the attention of passersby. Would it have such an effect if the wind did not blow it? We all know that wind is an air movement, but we forget that it is tangible, visible, audible.
The wind enables the flag to interact with the surrounding area. Sometimes it seems that the flag falls on the roofs of nearby houses or covers the top of the historical columns. In contrast to the flag, which moves with the fury of a living creature, the houses and the columns are frozen in immobility.
In this case the wind is not just an air flow, but the active character of the cityscape, that transforms the feeling of space.
