The polygon stands on a former coal heap in the south of Germany. It is a large walk-in sculpture that "traces a variety of mining motifs as a symbol of change in abstract formal language".
It is designed in such a way that it has a different shape from each direction: a rectangular archway, a triangle standing on the top or base, a cross with a horizontal line. In the ground plan it has the shape of a "Z".
