Some pictures from my AquaDominaVitae projects, a story, a search for images of the role of the woman "Lady of Life" declined in different cultures of the planet.
The project tells from an unpredictable point of view, the fundamental role of the nurse woman with a narration through images based on the combination of water and femininity and its generative value.
Every day in the world the woman recreates herself and her land, feeds her child in her womb, feeds her life with her work and makes all of this continue, again and again.
The cult of Mother Earth, mistress and protector of fertility, is born with life itself.
Over the centuries, each culture has changed and reinterpreted the figure of women in various ways, but its fundamental role in nutrition and care of life has remained unchanged with the complicity of water, the generative source of every being.
In particular, these shots represent:
- The mother woman who gives life, grows and protects her
- The woman who takes care of the earth, collects the harvest to nourish the species
-The woman who keeps knowledge and arts related to nutrition and food preparation
