The International Garden Photographer of the Year has awarded me third place in its Still Life competition. The competition is run in association with the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, London, United Kingdom.
I have been creating images of flowers for 22 years. These are highlights.
1. The Washington Post hired me to do a study of carnivorous plants ‘in my style’ which was published in June, 2017. It was re-published worldwide.
2. The Washington Post also did an interview of me accompanied by 6 pictures in June, 2016 called ‘The Seeds of Beauty.
3. I was in Berlin, Germany in October, 2016 for the presentation of 6 of my pictures at The International Gala Exhibition.
4. I had a show at the Walter Wickiser Gallery in New York City in 2015.
5. The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, DC acquired 46 pictures for their permanent collection in 2013. My pictures were given a solo show.
6. The Lishui Photo Festival of Lishui, China invited me, at their expense, to give a solo show of 20 pictures at their annual festival in Lishui, China.
