Echo of future (Series)
DESCRIPTION
These photographs are a demonstration of the influence we have on the environment. They confront us with our choices, our responsibilities towards the future of society. Images of concrete textures, which symbolize progress, are superimposed on those of nature to become one. Concrete, sometimes cracked, reminds us that some of our aspirations are doomed to failure. The man imposes himself, urbanizes and pushes more and more the borders of the cities with aggressiveness. The pollution it causes disrupts the ecosystem. Rivers are among the first affected, resulting in accelerated eutrophication of wetlands. These photographs are meant to reflect on what might disappear one day. Let's hope they do not become a legacy for future generations. The Echo of the Future project spanned three years, from 2015 to 2017. The double exposure technique was used with a Hasselblad 500c and black and white film. A wonderful book has resulted from this adventure. It is sold on Blurb.ca ( Écho du futur ) in French.
