Landscape nominee

This image from the Eastern Sierra Nevada is inspired by a scene in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

"For a moment it glimmered, faint as a rising star struggling in heavy earthward mists, and then as its power waxed, and hope grew in Frodo's mind, it began to burn, and kindled to a silver flame, a minute heart of dazzling light, as though Eärendil had himself come down from the high sunset paths with the last Silmaril upon his brow. I am a fine art landscape and nature photographer that simply enjoys being outside exploring the world. As a nature photographer, I strive to create artwork that depicts the noble simplicity and the noble beauty of the natural world. I see my work as a result of my questioning the visible reality; my endeavor to create something that speaks, something that touches the heart, and something that uplifts the mind. Recently, I have been working on poetry-inspired images. Some of these are already published in my website.
