Landscape nominee

A summit that everyone knows, The Matterhorn. In the summer every evening many photographers are at this place, but on this winter night my buddy and I were the only ones. Sadly the lake was full of snow. Our search for a reasonably acceptable image composition was running. At some point I ventured the route through the deep snow. I had about half an hour for the short way because the snow reached easily my hips. Then I found this part between the two stones, which was not snowed. Shortly thereafter, the magic began. After the beautiful sunset we needed more than 2.5 hours on our plastic plates to return to the village over the ski slope. The only light source were our headlamps.
