Landscape nominee

The view on nature as an endless interrelation of phenomena, imbedded in hardly comprehensible time frames, exceeds my capacities for perception. As a symbol of an impartible unity, nature seems to be elusive. Photography enables me to order these occurrences, to devise structures by generating images with my beloved Bronica ETRSi. Traveling on my own for weeks and months, allows me to contemplate the sublime qualities of the surrounding landscape. “Terrain” is an exploration of these phenomena of different mountain ranges in Norway, Austria, Italy and Slovenia.

Since 2017 I have been studying photography at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin at the Seminar Ludwig Rauch. In 2018 I have had my first group exhibition in Berlin. I hold a M.A. in Visual Anthropology and I am a research associate at the Natural History Museum Berlin where I condcut research about the cultural perception of nature.
