When I arrived at the trailhead (Reflection Lake) around 4:30 AM, thick and heavy fog was everywhere on the ground that made me hesitating to start hiking. I look up to the dark sky and immediately noticed a faint moon comes and goes through the fog layers. Which I felt that the moon was calling me to hurry up! I was certain that I will be able to pass the fog and see the Mt. Rainier on the other side. It was just glorious moment when I passed the fog and saw a bright snowcap in the dark. The majestic Mt. Rainier was floating on the fog.
I was able to compose some nice looking pink mountain-heather as a foreground although I literally had to lay my camera down on the ground.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
Enthusiastic hobbyist for landscape photography. I was born and raised in South Korea originally. I had been always dreaming of capturing the nature and beautiful landscapes for a long time but I am finally getting close to my dream since I became a more serious photographer in the US. I have some photos that were selected as honorable mentions by several contests. I am mainly focusing on the sunrise and sunset photography just because that’s the most dynamic time of the day in terms of light changes.
