Nature nominee

The title of this photo represents at best what characterizes this incredible moment!
I had arrived in this fantastic hidden lake of the Dolomites, the beautiful lake of Sorapis hidden at over 2000mt.
The Milky Way was moving and soon I could immortalize it on the mountain called "Finger of God"!
Everything went according to plan but, within a few minutes, something unexpected and unbelievable happens.
The sky suddenly covers itself with dense clouds, enveloping the mountain and propagating moisture at its feet.
The Milky Way is hampered, as well as my hopes of being able to achieve the last shot of the night!
But I remain in position sitting on the boulder next to my tripod, watching the sky in the crazy hope that the clouds disappear!
But suddenly something happened well beyond my hopes, in a few seconds a hole in the clouds let glimpse of the Milky Way, as if to wring my eye for one last time, allowing me to make this photo!
A crazy and exciting experience with opposing climatic conditions in just a few minutes, proof of when nature is beautiful and unpredictable!

Born in the province of Naples in 1989, I have always been fascinated by photography since I was a child. I still remember the many disposable cameras I bought to shoot whatever I liked.
With the technological development I have always looked with interest to every electronic device that had particular photographic performances until, one day, I had the courage to buy my first SLR.
From that moment on it was love and, starting to try out various photographic genres, I immediately felt a strong interest in what is the world of landscape and nature.
Following this direction with passion, today I can say that I have found what moves me the most, night photography!
Finding myself in the dark of night, under a sea of stars, has now become my greatest passion, my goal is to explore the most fascinating and dark corners of the planet, bring home new emotions and feelings to share them, together with my knowledge and photographic techniques, with anyone who wants to join the journey!
