Nature nominee

A fellow photographer whom I'd befriended through social media, but had never met in person, travelled from Wales to Vancouver, Canada and we went shooting flowers together. She brought with her a Lensbaby Velvet 56 as she knew I coveted the lens but was not in a position to buy one yet. Having never used one before, I knew there would be a learning curve. This was my very first shot with it. Pure beginner's luck.

Whether capturing life's milestones, creating a piece of fantastical art, or admiring the way the raindrops fell on my garden, photography has always been a part of my life. Most of my time is spent with flowers or exploring the endless trails in the mountains and on the beaches of my home province of British Columbia, Canada. The natural surroundings provide limitless inspiration and motivation to create my art.
