Nature nominee

I spent two hours on a landscape walkabout last Fall. The light wasn't that great. My scenery was disappointing. I returned to my car underwhelmed with what I had shot. I had just started my car when this single leaf fell on my windshield. My favourite shot of the day happened when I thought I was done. Go figure.

Whether capturing life's milestones, creating a piece of fantastical art, or admiring the way the raindrops fell on my garden, photography has always been a part of my life. Most of my time is spent with flowers or exploring the endless trails in the mountains and on the beaches of my home province of British Columbia, Canada. The natural surroundings provide limitless inspiration and motivation to create my art.
