This serie is about Earth's movement.
Photography gives us the chance to discover a wonderful that usually we don’t notice: Earth's movement. The earth’s rotation movement is faster than most of us think, about 460 meters per second or roughly 1,000 miles per hour (in earth's surface with respect to the planet's center, at the equator ). As you see stars apparently lined with Earth’s axis (Polaris in the North), you believe stars are moving around this point. It’s an optical effect. Actually stars move but not around Polaris.
When you aim to Equator, you notice three startrails, one around Polaris, one around South Pole, one straight, in equator.
All the pictures are made by shooting a Time Lapse and after stacking all the frames in one picture. Post-processing with LR.
