Nudes nominee

This image was taken during a group session arranged around the theme of Ruth Bernhard’s “woman in a box” series.

My point of departure for my images was the idea of the woman emerging from the box, released from the constraints placed on her. Her release is not frantic, there is no struggle. She emerges serenely, as if waking from a dream.
