Digital humanoids (Series)
DESCRIPTION
In this serie I take pictures of window-dolls and 19th century photos and combine them with elements of my selfportrait or other portraits, to create new humanoids which I then place in new surroundings, only using my phone (lg v30) and one app (snapseed).
AUTHOR
Ruben van Gogh (1967) is a poet, libretto writer and smartphone-art maker.
He has published 7 volumes of poetry, and wrote over 10 opera librettos. He recently translated Menotti's opera: The boy who grew too fast in Dutch, for the Dutch National Opera. Currently he is working on a libretto for a twitter opera.
In his spare time he looks around, and when he runs into something which isn't there, he takes a picture of it with his smartphone and, using snapseed and other apps, transforms it to what he saw in reality.
