Simply put, "...Seen, Not Heard" is about the importance of listening to children. Too many times, children are spoken over or ignored simply because their input or rhetoric does not seem important to adults. This kind of experience can lead to an array of psychological issues within a child including low self-esteem and debilitating shyness. Children are people, too, and people need to be heard. Let's not forget that.

Artist's Statement:
My pictures tell stories.
My work attempts to capture a variety of themes, from the empowerment of self-discovery to the danger of losing oneself in the pursuit of artificial beauty.
I occasionally obstruct the faces of my characters, inviting viewers to project themselves into the images and connect uniquely with the symbolism on display.
By juxtaposing the dark and the beautiful, I aim to create a blissful uneasiness: the same feeling we get when we look in the mirror and dare to see beyond our simple reflections.

I am a new artist in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. My work is focused in photography and the digital manipulation of my images. I have only done a handful of showings with Conception Art Gallery in both Dallas and Los Angeles as well as the Thin Line Gallery in Denton, TX.
