Photomanipulation nominee

Gut Feeling is a representation of the intuitions and values that reflect, what I believe to be, the specific instincts that have allowed human beings to evolve to the remarkable species we are today. The series collectively omits love and beauty, while each piece represents the individual characteristics of human nature: dependence upon water, admiration of immortality, humility by the natural world, and embodiment of blissful spirit.

I am a student at the University of Colorado Boulder studying Media Design. My photographs represent the beauty I see in the physical human form, as well as a body’s relationship with mind and environment. By using layering and masking techniques on organic and vulnerable photographs, both "flaws" and "beauty" are highlighted. My style is consistent with this idea of "enhanced honesty."
My artwork has been nominated by the university for display on campus and has earned me early positions in the photographic, design, and production industries.
