DESCRIPTION
"La Solana" Collection - New Media: Digital and Oil on Paper.
"La Solana" is a country house surrounded by coffee plants and tall cedar trees in the outskirts of Caracas, with a gorgeous view of a valley covered by a sea of clouds.
But La Solana is much more than a secluded beautiful place conceived to relax and share with family and friends. It is a place that awakens your senses; a place to feel and to love; a place to reflect and to get to know yourself better.
The collection "La Solana" is a tribute to that unique place and consists of digital compositions made with photos, drawings and oil paintings on paper, taken or made in La Solana over several years.
AUTHOR
My inclination for the visual arts started when I was a child. The earliest memory I recall was at 5 or 6 years of age, when I first drew the branches and leaves of a tree instead of a "green cloud" attached to a trunk. Since then I have been fascinated by nature, which has been a recurring theme in my art work: drawings, paintings, photography and digital-mixed media.
I’ve been a person of multiple interests. My professional life as an engineer and manager has had many facets and has been very fulfilling. However, throughout my life the artist within has been there, silently working, relentlessly experimenting.
My learning process has been fundamentally self-taught.
