Colour has been me pursue as a photographer because I find I am very easily attracted by colour work and catch the colour from life. I had been drawn to for years in my photography and cannot say exactly when I began this project. It represents my passion for life and photography as a way of self-expression.
My project work focusing on showing colour. I think that photos can perform better with the aid of colour when given a theme. The theme of this project is showing Plastic Pollution. This idea comes from the UK government are proposing a new ban on single-use plastic Products. WWF spokesperson Nicole Itano told The Independent “We would like to see the UK go even further, and we think ultimately we should be moving towards a ban on all single-use plastic by 2025.”
Although I only showed this phenomenon on a very small scale, I contrasted the muted colours with the serious of plastic pollution, trying to provide a warning about environmental damage. Just like the title “Siege”, if people do not take action, they will be Surrounded by plastics. The final green will disappear and it will only be visible in images and artificial venues.
