Heavenly Sails: Sailing in Clouds
This series of photographs was taken at the Cannes Royal Regatta, 40th Trophy Panerai, 22-29 September 2018, where some of the oldest and most beautiful sailboats in the world compete for the prize.
After 2 days of strong winds that delayed the start of the race and forced over 1,500 sailors to stay ashore (drinking no doubt ;-)), the wind finally relented and I thought I’d head to the water to "see what I could get". On this late September morning, the surface wind had died down most completely leaving the sea looking like billowing silk. Not great for racing yachts, but wonderful for the camera!
