Playground at the Edge of the Sea, past Sunset (Single)
DESCRIPTION
This image is from a portfolio called "Small Town, Edge of the World." As its title indicates, what you see is a spit of land jutting into the sea (Long Island Sound between Connecticut and New York), with a playground on it, under a dramatic and colorful post-sunset sky. Especially these days, I trust that the idea of a playground at the edge of the sea carries significances that don't need to be described or explained. And then there is the glory beyond. This photograph was made by combining three long exposures (around 20 seconds each), but with the center, "correct" exposure being set to +1 and 2/3 stops, with effects that you can see.
