Travel nominee

The patience required for shooting film has always attracted me to the medium. On a recent road trip around New Zealand, I travelled with a few rolls. Capturing landscapes, people and how they interact with each other, I examine the intimacy they share with each other and how I understand that. Sharing my experiences with my partner Madeleine, I felt a strong connection to her and all that surrounded me.

I am a photographer based in Brisbane, Australia. My work, predominately shot on film, explores human connection, spacial awareness and state of self. My hope is to provide a platform of rawness and empathy highlighting that we’re all beautifully loving and messy headed individuals trying to figure it all out.
