I stepped into my garden to spend some time photographing the birds. No sooner had the door closed behind me, it started pouring rain. I was going to turn back inside, when this male Anna's Hummingbird landed. I took just this one shot and he flew away. And I went back inside. Sometimes, one shot is all you need.

Whether capturing life's milestones, creating a piece of fantastical art, or admiring the way the raindrops fell on my garden, photography has always been a part of my life. Most of my time is spent with flowers or exploring the endless trails in the mountains and on the beaches of my home province of British Columbia, Canada. The natural surroundings provide limitless inspiration and motivation to create my art.
