Titian's Kangaroo (Single)
DESCRIPTION
As the final rays of winter sun flickered through the eucalyptus trees one evening at Girraween National Park, I photographed a lone Eastern Grey kangaroo sitting in the grass. Bathed in the last of the light and surrounded by the cool, shadowy hues of the landscape, the roo looked like he'd been staged for a Titian portrait. I watched him until darkness fell, imagining that my camera was Titian's paint brush, loaded with rich, dark oils.
