Recorded on Cibachrome, it is a positive, to which no negative exists.
They are originals beyond reproducibility, violent electrical discharges on color positive photo paper. After all, it is the universe itself that inscribes itself on the photosensitive surface.
These lightning photographs are made without a camera or lens, comparable with a photogram.
The electrical discharge generated with a Tesla coil releasing a charge of 400,000 volts, directed to an electrode grounded wire with large diameter of Copper wires to direct the electrical discharge, it smells for ozone during this process. Electrical sparks sputtering with blue arcs to strike over the photo paper surface, to freeze lightning, capturing blooms of light erupting in the dark, frozen in time for eternity by playing with chance and control. The blue gradients with metallic effect on the brilliant cibachrome, the results in unusual sharpness on 50 x 50 inch. This large photograph expose in detail the remarkable effects of light particles not visible to the human eye, drawing the finest lines.

His ingenious „Chrome Camera“ combines the ancient photogram process withe the Camera-Obscura and uses Cibachrome photo papers, whose velvety depth, color brilliance, and light sensitivity are unprecedented,to create rich, original images.Heino's subjects, composed simply and directly, are described with the thinnest plane of focus, re-creating and exaggerating the way that the human eye perceives and not without a small acknowledgement to Dutch Master painting.Every images is developed by the artist in his own laboratory, a unique copy and mostly large-sized format (1.27x1.6 m).Heino Heimann’s work consists of portraits and still life, but his newest edition develops a more abstract position. In the moment he works with a Tesla Generator to expose electrial discharges direct to Cibachrome, unique pictures in a size of 50"x50"
