A Native New Yorker with a contagious zest for life, Hellen is reinventing the stigmas associated with mid life, living each moment following her dreams. Hellen, a self taught photographer, divorced mother of 4 grown daughters and also a grandma, is proud to be retired from all past careers and obligations and now is enjoying the luxury of time to pursue her own true passion, photography.
Hellen is embracing the freedom that photography offers her and focuses on whatever her heart is feeling that particular moment or day. She doesn’t follow too many rules and doesn’t concern herself much with what others are doing. Travel, street photography, fine art, and creative portraiture are her favorite genres, although lately she has been experimenting with abstracts and landscapes. She has travelled to over 50 countries throughout her lifetime and has no intention of stopping. Her favorite place to be is Africa and has an obsession with wildlife, especially elephants. Hellen’s life mantra is moderation- and preaches about the value of being a responsible bad ass. “Age is only a reason to have a birthday so you have a day all to yourself to celebrate. Do what you love and you will succeed.
