I am not interested in illustrating my time.
I see no point in adding to the plethora of largely negative images of our time’s tragedies. My relationship with photography, with the light, is the same as that of a painter with her paints and canvas.
My abstract work is inspired by the vibrant tones of Fauvism and the Colour Field painters Mark Rothko and Cyfford Still, and more recently the blurred paintings of Gerhard Richter.

AUTHOR
I'm English, but have lived in France, near Paris, for thirty years. I started photography in the days of film and have come back to it later in life and learnt digital photography over the last five years. I'm interested in several genres including: abstract, still life, landscape and plants. Colour, form and wide horizons are my passion. I'm greatly influenced by art past and present, whether classical or contemporary. I started my photography business a year ago.
