The Hive (Single)
DESCRIPTION
The picture shows details of a facade of a shopping mall (Centrum Warenhaus) in Dresden, Germany. Architectural design: Peter Kulka. It integrates the characteristic sculptured aluminium honeycomb of the original department store
of 1978 into the new facade, built in 2008/9.
For me as a photographer is is a fantastic playground to create abstract architectural work. As single pictures but as multilayered pictures as well, see the series Fragments IV, wich are actually multiexposure photographies (in camera, not in photoshop) from this facade.
Another set that can’t hide my love to Expressionism, Bauhaus and, of course, the work of Lyonel Feininger.
AUTHOR
Since 2013 I am a professional member of the honorable BFF (Berufsverband Freie Fotografen und Filmgestalter) and work, exhibit and publish as a photographer and artist worldwide.
2016 I joined the honorable AOP (Association of Photographers) in London and was prompt finalist at the great 2016 AOP Awards. 2017 I was a 6 times finalist and won an AOP Award.
