Conceptual nominee

This image is part of the series "Production. About Men and Space.", 2018, about the closed porcelain factory in Lichte, Thuringia. For more than 200 years all the inhabitants of Lichte were working in the porcelain business. With its closing in 2016, people were not just left unemployed. Family traditions and identities were stopped, too. The photographed spots are related to peoples occupations and they are named after it. But there is nothing to see anymore. The names of the single pictures are bureaucratic, humans have left and the space is empty.

The picture shows the space where the artistic painting of the porcelain was done.

I studied Fine Art at Bauhaus-University and the Academy
of Fine Arts Vienna (classes of “Digital Media” and “Video
and Videoinstallation”). Before that, I studied Social
Anthropology and Psychology at Ludwig-Maximilians
Universtiy Munich. In this time I worked with different
kind of photographers.
Since January 2016 I work and live as a freelance Videoartist
and Photojournalist in Weimar. I do live video and light
installations for clients at festivals and events, show my
artwork at light art festivals and in galleries.
As photographer I am specialized in documentary projects.
