Conceptual nominee

Pregnancy is a time of upheaval for a woman. Her body changes but also her whole life. She is at a point of no return, where fear and questions can arise. 
We live in a period where the future for our children is uncertain. In the midst of all of this doubt, depicted by dark atmosphere, I always seek this glimmer of hope, this unconditional love that only a mother can give for her child. 
I create images where outer and inner worlds blend. Through this series, I want to depict universal feelings such as hope and love and make the invisible visible in a poetic and dreamlike atmosphere. The series is built in little sub-stories around common themes such as Rebirth and Mother Nature with a touch of nostalgia for timeless fairy tales.

I am a Belgian photographer specialized in maternity photography and I am also a Fine-Art photographer. Over these years, I managed to develop my own style and vision and won several awards at international photography competitions.

During my childhood, I studied to become a pianist. Music has had an influence in the way I conceive photography, a medium to both visualise and create other worlds and to allow me to believe in the best our world has to offer.

Through my pictures, I create storytelling in a poetic and artistic ways by seeking hope and love and also beauty in Nature (through darkness).
