DESCRIPTION
There are some types of redemption and salvation laying dormant even in the hearts of darkness or in the middle of the deserts. This is one of my deepest beliefs, that keeps me moving forward.
Taking inspiration from the cyclical millennium changing of the Sahara to portray this theme felt only natural. As water and abundant life had once existed in the now arid area, and will do so once again, so will hope, truth and life prevail, even from the deepest pits of despair.

AUTHOR
Coming from a mixed artistic background, Cristiana Apostol is working in the cinematography industry. She is specializing in her main field of interest, underwater artistic model photography, while pursuing her personal photography project, "Weightless Reality".
All her underwater images are shot during apnea - without an oxygen tank, for both models and herself. She uses as little post-processing as possible and relies on experience and the uncontrollable and ephemeral aspect of the medium.
