I have recently launched a series of photoshoots named “Budapest”, which are always based around a particular theme. In Edition 01, the focus was on the frogs-eye-view, and the movement and reaching upwards. Continuing on this idea, Budapest 02 steps out from the boundaries of building photography, focusing on elementary geometric shapes.
The objects seen here lose their everyday functions, and they break up into lines, concentric compositions, or rhythms in order. The attributes of people and their beings are eliminated, so the photographs reveal the essentials of the capital city architecture without any distracting elements and factors. The series can be thought of a recollection of timeless elements, and research of knowledge and consciousness spanning over the ages, which in the modern world sometimes falls into the darkness of oblivion and continuous noise.
