BLOWN AWAY (Series)
DESCRIPTION
Exploding flowers! First dipped in liquid nitrogen (LN2), to freeze the flowers, then hit with a 1" ball bearing to make them shatter. LN2 is the super cooled liquid form of the gas Nitrogen. It\'s temp is -320 deg F. When the flower is first dipped into the LN2 bath, the LN2 immediately starts rapidly boiling due to the temperature difference of the room temp flower. After the LN2 stops boiling, the flower is quickly pulled from the bath and rigged up in it's place. There's only a 30 second window to rig, shatter, and shoot. I went through nearly $500 worth of flowers to get 3 perfect shots!
