In 2002 I was diagnosed with a degenerative nerve-disease (auto-immune defect), and daily functioning for me became a new challenge.
During that time, working at home on these artworks kept me in a creative state of mind, but also helped me to develop a broader view on the fragility of life.
Witnessing the short lifespan of flowers still exposing extraordinary beauty in their time given, made me feel grateful and humble towards life as it comes day by day.
These photographs are a small selection of a much bigger project I've been working on since 2002.
