"Ghost in the shell", a series of black and white photographs, Beair, 2019.
The straight line doesn’t exist in nature. There are only movements, rhythms and pulsations, and the most sophisticated structures dance as if they were going to fly away.
This series of black and white photos is an exploration of the pure form, a journey in search of original structures, compositions both beautiful and proportionate, almost architectural models. The contrasting black and white accentuates the essential lines of each shell, in order to draw a portrait of these inhabitants of the seabed up to us.
Each shell is photographed as a house emptied of its substance of which only the outer frame remains, a kind of architectural reminiscence that recalls a time before, where the Being was still present. This photographic journey opens a reflection on the possible consistency of forms emptied from their substance. So many portraits of external skeletons, last vestiges of an absence that also questions us about the presence of "Ghost in the Shell", of a spirit in the form.
