Nature nominee

Every person has a spirit animal or one that they can connect with. For me it is the American Bison or known in our part of the world as"Tatanka". I had the privilege of growing up on a ranch in Ree Heights, South Dakota that was full of ancient Native American history, from the teepee rings to the buffalo kill site. My grandparents and parents were full of the history that surrounded the place. So naturally I took to the American Bison, this creature is full of majestic beauty and grace. They quiet, peace full and yet deadly and dangerous.

I was born and raised in South Dakota, at the age of 19 I Joined the United States Army and served 10 years. After my time in the Army I returned to South Dakota and went in to Law Enforcement. Unfortunately injuries sustained during my time in the Army has prevented me from continuing my 10 year law enforcement career. I'm currently a Senior at Black Hills State University in Spearfish South Dakota. I'm majoring in Graphic Design Communication and Art. I'm also working on a certificate in photography. I have not entered any of my photos in a contest as of yet, however I have had other artwork displayed in the Ruddell Gallery.
