“Speak silently, if speak you must
Like the woman speaking to a seed
The soft shall survive the hard
Like the tongue survives the teeth”
The metal sculpture named 'Seed' is from the series of 'GMO' (genetically modified organisms) forms by sculptor Tugrul Selcuk. The metal surface is representing how technology destroyed the organisms. The seed became like a metal, it is cold and artificial; it has lost its nature. The chain effect surely will be modifying the coming generations in human kind. 'The seed' is representing how human kind are adapting to new genetically modified organisms, without considering their effects to future generations. How these GMO will effect future generations is one of a big question soon we have to face... The woman's nature is about collecting, transforming and creating. She will somehow make life survive with what ever she has in her hands. She is the mother. But when it comes to earth she is loosing her child day by day, the first seed, the unborn. The new construct is in her hands. She will decide our future. (...)
