Nudes nominee

The idea behind this photo was to create something truly aesthetic with a raw feeling and in b&w, with 2 naked models, without being vulgar. I also wanted this photo to show a clear message of dominance and benevolence vs submission and acceptance.This photo has been taken in the Republic of Mauritius (a country that has been colonized by many other countries), the dominant model is of Spanish origin (previously a colonial country) and the submissive model is of Mauritian/Indian origins (previously colonized countries).

I'm a fine art nude photographer based in Spain. My work is influenced by the sculptures of Ancient Greece and starts from the premise that aesthetics precedes the message. At the message level, my works are essentially influenced by Carl Gustav Jung's concept of analytical psychology, especially the concept of "persona"
My work focuses on the symbolic use if postures and shapes, the play of shadows/light, textures. The scenes I photograph are made up of few elements. Normally a single subject, lots of negative space, no accessories (or rarely). The essential meaning of the message is transmitted by the isolated body.
In my language, clothes are not used to dress, but to disguise and thus transform the identity of beings. Nudity represents the absence of disguise and becomes in fact the allegory of an authentic identity.
