Open Theme nominee

For the Fine Art Photography Awards I picked photos from an ongoing project for a book and exhibition I' m currently working on.
Title: 'Changeling/ Twice upon a time'.

In this ongoing project I create a fictive life, using old photographs, polaroids and found footage. I capture memories by playing with the concepts of time, space and scale in relation to our perception within an imaginary world. The questions I asked myself working on this project were: what if you were a changeling? What if your memories were different from the stories you were told by your family?
I used different photographic concepts: I flashed out the faces in the portaits to create a more universal recognition, I made kaleidoscopic and filmic sceneries to capture a child's point of view, I made polaroids to catch the feeling of uniqueness and I added graphic colorblocks to pictures, trying to investigate and capture the colors of the past.
