Open Theme nominee

STRANDED on a deserted island, with only a scrap of paper and a washed up bottle, you carefully craft a note with your last known GPS coordinates! Watching the water drain out of the tub one evening, I thought it would be so cool to create and photograph a vortex in the studio. This shot was quite the undertaking to achieve. I started by building a massive 100 gallon water tank with a 2" hole in the bottom. The vortex is created as the water rushes out then down a slide and into a holding tank on the floor. I used a pump system to recirculate the water. The bottle was rigged on a plexi arm that was plunged into the tank once the vortex had formed. If you follow the GPS coordinates, you'll find yourself at my studio ;)
