This pictures are part of project call " Leisure under the sun" are part of an anthropological and sociological interest and study in how the people spend their leisure time in summer time in places where they are use to go.
The beach or the dunes or the sea rocks as a common, egalitarian land, ideal places to observe society . In this enviromnent i recognize some key moments that are the base or our society like: relationship with friends, lovers, playing time, take care of the body, or more recently attitude like make selfies.
Also in this places usually the people are quiet, have no defenses and are in an ideal situation to be studied. When we are on the beach, or we take a sun , we are more relaxed, more firm, we move very little, we are more natural and relaxed.

Raffaele Ferrari was born in 1980.
After graduating in Psychology at University of Florence, he moved to Barcelona and start working as a psychologist. During this period his passion for photography develop. He began working with film photography, and then focused his body of work in documentary and landscape photography.
His latest photographic project is about sea coast life, exploring the oceans and Mediterranean Sea.
He lives in Tuscany when is not travelling.
