The Pull of the Sea (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Taken on Jokulsarlon beach during my first time in Iceland, January 2018. It was difficult to find lone blocks of ice on this particular day due to the rough sea covering the beach in ice of all shapes and sizes. The waves travelled far up the beach and I wanted to capture the long curving sweep of the wave across the sand. I particularly liked the contrast of the dark waters and rough waves with the beauty of the low golden sun and the turquoise ice. I hope the image evokes the feeling of being pulled towards the sea with the ebbing wave.
