DESCRIPTION
This image Is part of my ongoing Devotion series. The image has been stuck in my head since last year, I kept thinking to myself it would look amazing in the mist but we never had enough to hide the land in the distance so I tried it in the morning and evening but it wasn't the image in my head. A heavy mist descended on Salcombe in South Devon and my first thought was this breakwater. The contrast of the posts against the mist on this cobbled breakwater looked fantastic and it turned out how I had envisioned.
AUTHOR
My name is Paul Carruthers I am a professional Landscape\Fine Art photographer based in Devon.
I picked up a camera about 25 years ago after a serious injury.
I used my images to improve my graphic design but soon realised people where talking about my photos held within my designs. So I decided to concentrate solely on my photography, reading and learning as much as I could.
I was approached by a Gallery in The Bluecoat Chambers in Liverpool about fifteen years ago to sell my work and the rest as they say is history.
I won The British Life Photography Awards 2017 and I have been shortlisted for The British photography Awards for the last two years. I have also had many other shortlisted and honourable mentions. Most Notably for the Monochrome Awards for the last two years.
