Every fall I go to the Swiss Alps to photograph the beautiful scenery of rivers and mountains together with those nice larch trees which all turn yellow.
At this small lake I waited for the sunset and fortunately there still were some scattered clouds and I love clouds when shooting landscapes.
Just a few minutes before dawn the mountain peaks were hit by the last sun beams and the wind was gone.
I used a ND Gradual filter to darken the top of the image, because of the great contrast.

AUTHOR
I am from the Netherlands and since the age of eight I take pictures.
I have a special interest in animals and landscapes.
When I was twelve years old I bought my first SLR camera and started exploring nature. At first only birds, later on mammals and landscapes.
Particularly the light at sunrise and sunset are my favorite.
I like to capture special behaviour of animals.
During my travels round the world I visited the tropical Amazon rainforest, as well as the arctic. Especially the arctic in the fall are my favorite.
I won the first prize at the EU Photo contest category Wildlife.
