Federico Imperiale - Subveil 2017
Film Photography
This sequence represent the Los Angeles subway as a surreal underworld and aim to reveal unconscious aspects of an everyday visual experience.
Thanks to the low light of the location and the texture of the high ISO color film, the bodies get fused together with their reflections and the space around them.
The different subjects become characters of a shared dream; the images are crafted by the encounter between their identity and the unnatural environment they come to relate with.
